REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ON REVIEW OF PROPOSED DISPOSAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH 10 CFR 20.2002 FOR THE YANKEE NUCLEAR POWER STATION (TAC No. L52650)

By letter dated December 22, 2004, Yankee Atomic Electric Company submitted proposed procedures for disposal of demolition debris from decommissioning of the Yankee Nuclear Power Station at the Waste Control Specialists, LLC Facility in Andrews, Texas, in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 20.2002. Please review the proposal and provide an safety evaluation of the acceptability. The licensee has requested an expedited review. Completion of your review by March 15, 2005 is requested.
