Gentlemen I understand Palisades nuclear plant and Consumers power are petitioning for a 20 year extension to operate this plant.

As a neighbor at Palisades Park country club I support your effort to extend the life of this plant.

Unlike many of my neighbors I recognize the urgent need for affordable clean electric energy.

My reasons for supporting Consumers in this effort are as follows.

l.Our growing need for affordable electric power.

2.The high cost and limited availability of natural gas and oil.

3. The air pollution and smog produced by coal fired generating plants.

4. The tax support that Consumers provides to our community of Covert Township.

5. The fact that the Palisades Nuclear provides security to palisades park country club on the north from the public beach.

6 The cleaness of the water discharged from the water discharged from the air condition at the power plant.

7 The neighborliness of Consumers power in inviting we neighbors to visit and observe safty precautions and make recommendations etc.

I am writing this letter in support of your efforts to continue to operate Palisades Nucl Power Plant.
