REVISED REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW OF LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATIONS FOR QUAD CITIES NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 AND DRESDEN NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3 (TAC NOS. MB6843, MB6844, MB6845 AND MB6846)

Dear Mr. Skolds:

The NRC staff is reviewing the environmental report (ER), submitted as part of the Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon) license renewal application. The ER states that Exelon is not aware of any new and significant information; however, no basis for that assertion was provided. Our April 17, 2003, letter requested that Exelon provide further discussion of its program for identifying new and significant information concerning Category 1 issues associated with license renewal to ascertain compliance with 10 CFR 50.51 (c)(3)(iv). This letter serves to advise you that the correct citation should have been 10 CFR 51.53 (c)(3)(iv), rather than 10 CFR 50.51 (c)(3)(iv).

You are requested to provide additional information regarding your program for identifying new and significant information within 30 days of receipt of this letter.
