CORRECTION LETTER TO EDWIN I. HATCH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1AND 2 RE: ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENTS (TAC NOS. MB2965 AND MB2967)

Dear Mr. Sumner:

On July 12, 2002, the Commission issued Amendment No. 232 to Renewed Facility Operating License DPR-57 and Amendment No. 174 to Renewed Facility Operating License NPF-5 for the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2. However, Technical Specification (TS)

Page 3.3-8 for Unit 2 was issued with the response time surveillance requirement for the reactor vessel water level low-3 reactor protection system (RPS) trip and the reactor vessel steam dome pressure high RPS trip inadvertently put back as a requirement for the two aforementioned functions. A correction has been made to TS Page 3.3-8 removing these two requirements. This correction is purely editorial. The correct page is enclosed.
