SUBJECT: COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION - SITE-SPECIFIC IMPLEMENTATION OF B.5.B PHASE 2 AND 3 MITIGATING STRATEGIES TEMPORARY INSTRUCTION INSPECTION (NRC INSPECTION REPORT 05000445/2008008 AND 05000446/2008008)

Dear Mr. Blevins:

In a telephone conversation on June 2, 2008, Messrs. Neil Harris and John Kirkland made arrangements for the NRC to inspect the site-specific implementation of B.5.b Phase 2 and 3 mitigating strategies at the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station. The inspection is planned for the week of July 7, 2008.

In order for the NRC to adequately prepare for this inspection, please furnish the documents listed in Enclosure 1 to Mr. John Kirkland in electronic format no later than June 20, 2008.

Please have available on site at the beginning of the inspection the arrangements and documents listed in Enclosure 2. Mr. Neil Harris has been advised of this request and provided with the name and address of the NRC lead inspector.

This letter contains information collections that are subject to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.). These information collections were approved by the Office of Management and Budget, approval number 3150-0011.

The public reporting burden for this collection of information is estimated to average 4 hours4.62963e-5 days <br />0.00111 hours <br />6.613757e-6 weeks <br />1.522e-6 months <br /> per response, including the time for reviewing instructions, gathering and maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the collection of information. However, because of the sensitive information contained in the enclosures, and in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, a copy of this letter's enclosures will not be available for public inspection.
