Dear Mr. McGavin:

On January 4, 2018, the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued the Security Inspection Report for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units, ADAMS Accession Number ML18004A310. (non-public version) In reviewing this report, we identified an administrative error regarding the Report Number. Specifically, that the previously issued report 05000424/2017406 and 05000425/2017406 should be 05000424/2017410, and 05000425/2017410. We request that the cover letter and report be replaced with the enclosure to this letter.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 2.390 Public inspection, exemptions, requests for withholding of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room, of the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs ADAMS; accessible from the NRC Website at https://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room). Dear Mr. McGavin:

On November 30, 2017, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed a security inspection at your Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2, and discussed the results of this inspection with Mr. D. Komm and other members of the licensees staff. The results of this inspection are documented in the enclosed report.

The NRC inspector did not identify any findings or violations of more than minor significance.

This letter will be made available for public inspection and copying at https://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html and at the NRC Public Document Room in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, Public Inspections, Exemptions, Requests for Withholding.

However, the enclosed report contains Security-Related Information, so the enclosed report will not be made publically available in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(d)(1). If you choose to provide a response that contains Security-Related Information, please mark your entire response Security-Related Information-Withhold from public disclosure under 10 CFR 2.390 in Enclosure 1 accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(d)(1) and follow the instructions for withholding in 10 CFR 2.390(b)(1). The NRC is waiving the affidavit requirements for your response in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(b)(1)(ii).
