MAY 31 W Georgia Power Company ATTN: Mr. R. J. Kelly Executive Vice President P. O. Box 4545 Atlanta, GA 30302 Gentlemen:

SUBJECT: REPORT NOS. 50-424/84-30, 50-425/84-30; 50-424/85-03, 50-425/85-03; AND 50-424/85-08,50-425/85-08 Thank you for your responses of April 4,1985, and May 10, 1985, to our Notice of Violation, 50-424,425/85-03-01, issued March 7,1985, concerning activities under NRC Construction Pennit Nos. CPPR-108 and CPPR-10 We have evaluated your responses and found that they meet the requirements of 10 CFR 2.20 It is our understanding that you concur with our Violation finding relative to inadequate corrective actions to ensure proper revisions of design drawings but do not consider the discrepancy identified in paragraph 6.5.(1)(b) of Inspection Report 50-424,425/85-08 to be another example of the subject Violation. We have carefully reviewed the basis of your position and concluded that the underlying basis of the subject discrepancy is design personnel not adequately completing design review. This underlying basis was also exhibited for Violations 84-30-01 and 85-03-0 We will examine the implementation of your corrective actions during future inspection We appreciate your cooperation in this matte
