Dear Mr. Allen:

On January 28, 2010, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed a security inspection of the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (NPS), Oak Harbor, Ohio. The purpose of the inspection was to evaluate whether the protection of the ISFSI was in compliance with the Davis-Besse Physical Security Plan (PSP), and the NRC Orders EA-02-104, Order for Interim Safeguards and Security Compensatory Measures (ICMs) for Davis-Besse NPS, dated October 16, 2002 and EA-03-097, Order for Implementation of Additional Security Measures (ASMs) Associated with Access Authorization for Davis-Besse NPS, dated August 18, 2004. In addition, the inspectors verified the location of your instrument calibrators, and determined whether their use and storage was conducted safely and in accordance with 10 CFR Part 20 requirements. At the conclusion of the on-site inspection on January 28, 2010, the inspector discussed the inspection findings with members of your security and radiation protection staff.

Based on the results of this inspection, no findings of significance were identified.
