' leak rate (Type C) tests on certain containment isolatien valves in a manner which is as t. conservative as applying pressure in the direction the valve must

Additional problem ar6as identified during this inspection include:

An. evaluation (Engineering Study 88-31) which concludes that Type C tests
on globe; valves performed by applying test pressure in a direction

oppot,ite to the accident pressure (reverse direction) and which assists in seating the valves is conservative (paragraph 3).
Repair. or adjustment to the containment bour<dary prior to the integrated
L(Type A). leak rate test without adjustment for the "as found" leak rate (paragraph 2.b.(5)).
