Areas Inspected:. Routine, unannounced physical security inspection involving:
Management Support and Effectiveness; Protected and Vital Area Barriers, Detection and Assessment; Protected and Vital Area Access Controls; Alarm Stations and Communications; Power Supply; Testing and Maintenance, Compensatory Measures; Personnel Training and Qualifications; TI 2515/102
" Land Vehicle Bomb Contingency Procedure Verification" (SIM No, MPA Lq-07)
and review of previous inspection findings.
Results: The licensee was found to be in compliance with NRC requirements in the areas examined. Eight previously identified items were reviewed; five will be closed and three will remain open. Temporary Instruction 2515/102 was reviewed and closed. The licensee's protected area alarm system and CCTV upgrade project is nearly complete. Acceptance testing is being performed and the licensee will stay in compensatory measures until the entire system is fully tested and accepted.
The licensee's performance meets regulatory requirements and the security program is adequately being implemented and managad.
