Date Physical Security Branch Inspection Summary Areas Inspected:
Included a review of the Security Plan; Security Program Audit; Protected Area Physical Barriers; Vital Area Physical Barriers; Lighting; Alarm Stations; Detection Aids; Testing and Maintenance; Power Supply.
The inspection involved 64 inspector-hours by two (2) NRC inspectors including eight (8) inspection hours accomplished during off-shift periods.
The inspection began during the regular shift.
-Results: -The licensee was found to be in compliance with NRC requirements within the areas examined during the inspection except for tire following four items:

Vital Area Physical Barrier - A vital area door was fastened shut with an inadequate fastener (Infraction).

Detection Aid - A' tamper resistance enclosure. housing sensitive electronic equipment had the tamper alarm triggering mechanism taped in a manner-that prevented an alarm (Infraction).
3.
Detection Aid.- The line supervision for.the alarm system circuitry was such that a compromise of the alarm system was possible in the ACCESS mode (Infraction).
4.
. Testing - A review of records revealed that a regulatory requirement to test intrusion alarms at least once every 7 days was not met on one occasion.
(Infraction).
