i Thank you for your letter of January 9,1997,in response to our letter and Notice of  :

Violation dated December 4,1996. We have reviewed your reply and find it responsive to l the concerns raised in our Notice of Violation.  !

Your response to concerns discussed in the inspection report regarding refueling operations i

was encouraging. Your planned performance and procedure enhancements, including your intent to improve and maintain reactor-side cavity water clarity, consideration for modifying ;

the refueling bridge mast camera configuration, and revisions to Procedure OP-11, " Reactor 7 Core Refueling," demonstrate your commitment to improving fuel handling activities.

We will review the implementation of your corrective actions during a future inspection to determine that full compliance has been achieved and will be maintained, i
