This routine, announced inspection was conducted in the area of Physical Security Program for Pcwer Reactors, specifically: Management Support and Security Program Plans; Physical Barriers, Protected and Vital Areas; Assessment Aids; Protected and Vital Area Access Control of Personnel, Packages and Vehicles; Alarm Stations; and Communications and Compensatory Measures.

In addition, the licensee established procedures for response to Land Vehicle Bomb Threat Contingencies were reviewed.

Results:

In the areas inspected, violations or deviations were not identified.

Review and observation of security operational activities and tours of security facilities confirmed that the management and operational effectiveness of the security program was being maintained as noted during previous inspections.

Continuing efforts to further improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the security management program was evident.

Inspection results confirmed that the security force continues to perform effectively and professionally, and is capable of providing an adequate level of protection for the station's vital and safety related equipment.
