By letter dated June 28, 2010, the NRC issued Amendment No. 133 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-63 for the Harris Nuclear Plant (HNP), including the NRC staff P.O.

Serial: HNP-10-064 Page 2 Safety Evaluation (SE). Upon review, HNP has noted that the code of record for the new very early warning fire detection system (VEWFDS) is specified as NFPA 72, "National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code," 2010 Edition, on pages 46 and 106 of the SE (Reference 1). The correct code of record for the system is NFPA 72 - 2007 Edition. Although Section 4.8.2.4 of the updated LAR (Reference 2) and RAI Responses 1-5 (Reference 3, 4) specify NFPA 72 as the code of record, the applicable code year was not identified in HNP's submittals.
