Dear Sir or Madam:

By Reference 1, Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy) proposed a change to the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (GGNS) Technical Specifications (TS) to correct allowable values in TS Tables 3.3.5.1-1 and 3.3.5.2-1. By Reference 2, the NRC Staff provided an evaluation and basis for denial of the proposed change and requested Entergy's review and comments on the staff's evaluation. Entergy responded to the request and provided comments by Reference 3. This supplemental letter provides clarification of Entergy's response.

Reference 3 stated that Entergy was monitoring the efforts of the Technical Specification Task Force and the NRC to finalize the details and scope of the changes needed to resolve the instrument setpoint issue discussed in RI5-2006-17 and planned to support any NRC and industry solutions when finalized. To clarify this statement, if the G090016

GNRO-2009/00016 Page 2 of 2 Condensate Storage Tank (CST) Level-Low setpoint is affected by the approved TSTF traveler, then Entergy will submit a separate amendment request to implement the approved generic change. This is considered a commitment and is reflected in the Attachment.

The original no significant hazards consideration included in Reference 1 is not affected by any information contained in the supplemental letter.

If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact Bryan Ford at 601-368-5516.

I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct. Executed on February 20, 2009 Sincerely,

~.~(~
