Dear Sir or Madam:

Pursuant to 10 CFR 71.101(f), Luminant Generation Company LLC (Luminant Power) hereby requests renewal of the Quality Assurance (QA) Program Approval for Radioactive Material Packages No. 0504.

Luminant Power's current QA Program Approval No. 0504 (Revision 6) will expire on February 28, 2009.

Luminant Power intends to continue to engage in activities (i.e., procurement, maintenance, repair and use) as previously authorized.

QA Program Approval No. 0504, Revision 6, was issued by the NRC on February 19, 2004 for the above activities as conducted regarding transportation packages under applicable criteria of Appendix B to 10 CFR Part 50. Pursuant to 10 CFR 71.101(f), the approved 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B Quality Assurance Program for Luminant Power's Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station (CPSES), hereby known as Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant (CPNPP), Units 1 and 2 (Dockets Nos. 50-445 and 50-446) satisfies the provisions of 10 CFR Part 71, Subpart H, with respect to transportation packages.

In addition to renewal, Luminant Power requests that the current QA Program Approval No. 0504 (Revision 7) be amended as follows:
