2016 Regulatory Commitment Change Summary Report The purpose of this report is to provide the Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC)

Regulatory Commitment Change Summary Report for Byron Station for commitment changes processed during the period from January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016. Commitment changes are processed in accordance with Nuclear Energy Institutes (NEI) 99-04, Revision 0, Guidance for Managing NRC Commitment Changes, dated July 1999 and associated implementing procedures. For the period from January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016, there were two commitment changes processed in accordance with NEI 99-04, Revision 0 and associated implementing procedures requiring NRC notification.

ATtACHMENT A BYRON STATION REGULATORY COMMITMENT CHANGE

SUMMARY

REPORT FOR 2076 Commitment N umber: 454-251-86-10300/9246-01 Original Document and Commitment:

NRC Inspection Report 50-454 / 85-038 and 50-455 I 85-042 documents a Severity Level IV violation of then Technical Specification 6.8.1.a which requires that applicable procedures for activities recommended in Appendix A of Regulatory Guide 1.33, Revision 2 February 1978, be written, established, implemented and maintained.

On October 31, 1985, D.L. Farrar, Director of Nuclear Licensing responded to the Notice of Violation in a letter to James Keppler. The letter states as a Corrective Action Taken to Prevent Further Violation, The annunciator response BAR 7-17-Al 3 for the circulating water pump trip alarm will be revised to consider its affect on liquid radwaste releases.

BARs 1-17-A13 and 2-17-A13 were revised to add a step to stop liquid releases when a Circulating Water Pump Trip occurs.

Subject of Change:

This action is remaining in the applicable BARs, however, it is no longer being annotated as a commitment.

Justifications for Change:

This action does not meet the definition of a regulatory commitment.

Status:

The commitment was changed under Commitment Change Number 16-016.

ATTACHMENT B BYRON STATION REGULATORY COMMITMENT CHANGE

SUMMARY

REPORT FOR 2016 Commitment Number: 76849-7 7 Original Document and Commitment:

Byron Letter 2001-0157, Licensee Event Report 454-2001-003-00, dated November 26, 2001, to the NRC from Richard Lopriore, Byron Nuclear Generating Station, Site Vice President.

The above mentioned letter contains a commitment for: The Work Planning Department will issue a Maintenance Directive instructing the work planners to create an additional task on any work that is additional to a Design Change Modification if not already covered by a FCR.

Subject of Change:

Delete the commitment.

Justifications for Change:

The topic of the Maintenance Directive has been overcome by events and continues to be incorporated into work practices.

Status:

The commitment was changed under Commitment Change Number 16-017.
