M. Hoots (Exelon Generation Company, LLC) to U. S.

NRC, "Response to NRC Security Order EA-08-069 for Byron Station Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI)," dated April 21, 2008 In Reference 1, the NRC issued Security Order EA-08-069 to require Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) to comply with Additional Security Measures (ASMs) listed in the Security Order for Byron Station. In Reference 2, EGC responded to the NRC with the schedule for achieving compliance with the ASMs for Byron Station.

In addition, Reference 1 required EGC report to the NRC when it has achieved full compliance to the requirements of Security Order EA-08-069. This letter is notification to the NRC that, as of May 4,2009, Byron Station is in full compliance with the requirements of Security Order EA-08-069. Byron Station intends to start utilizing the ISFSI in early June 2009.
