Dear Sir:

By our letter dated 12/23/85 (Ref.1), Boston Edison Company (BEco) proposed a change to the administrative section of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station (PNPS) Technical Specifications (TS). Since that time, BECo has made an organizational change that requires a revision to that proposed change.

On 7/23/86 (Ref.2), BECo informed you that the position of Senior Vice-President, Nuclear had been eliminated and that the Nuclear Organization now reports to a new position of higher authority, the Chief Operating officer. This reorganization does not diminish the responsibility of the Nuclear Safety Review and Audit Committee (NSRAC), which now reports directly

.to the Chief operating Officer. Therefore, the safety considerations and no significant hazards considerations submitted with Ref.1 are not affected by this revision.

Reference to the title of Senior Vice-President, Nuclear is made on a number of pages submitted in Ref.l. Enclosed with this letter are corrected TS pages which are to replace those transmitted by Ref.l.
