Incorrect Cable Routing (Fire Protection)

CONDITIONS PRIOR TO OCCURRENCE:

Rx Power 0% - Unit Load O MW DESCRIPTION OF OCCURRENCE:

Verification of Fire Protection Cable Interaction Analysis dis-covered a power supply cable to the alternate shutdown instrument process rack routed on Elevation 84'.should be on Elevation 64'.

This constituted a reportable incident IAW Technical Specification 6.9.1.8.i.

DESIGNATION OF APPARENT CAUSE OF OCCURRENCE:

Personnel Error -

Design Change Request 2EC-0664, revision 1, incorrectly indicated cable 2ASDAC2-CT to be installed on Elevation 84'

• ANALYSIS OF OCCURRENCE:

Incorrect routing was not discovered by Public Service Electric and Gas Company during final review of Design Change Package (DCP) 2EC-0664.

This incorrect routing required immediate corrective action to prevent *operation in a manner less conservative than assumed in the safety analysis report.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

DCP lEC-1144 changed the routing of cable 1ASDAC2-CT to comply with the Fire Protection Interaction*Analysis on Unit No. 1.

• DCP

.2EC-1145 has been revised to*change the cable routing on Unit No. 2.

This rerouting will be completed prior to June 5~ 1981 and a 24 hour2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> fire watch is being maintained until the work is completed.
