Description

Technical Specification 5.7.1 requires areas with dose rates greater than 100 mR/hr to be posted as a High Radiation Area and barricaded. Contrary to this, on October 18, 2008, the high radiation area posting and barricade did not provide an adequate barricade around areas of the room having dose rates greater than 100 mR/hr in the west engineered safeguards room. This was identified in the licensees corrective action program as CR-PLP-2008-04310. The finding was determined to be of very low safety significance because it was not an ALARA planning issue, there was no overexposure nor substantial potential for overexposure, and the licensees ability to assess dose was not compromised
