] l On 8/27/78 a spurious low-low noud level signal started the IC. 2C diesel zenerators g l(D/G). The 2C D/G frequency was observed to be 58 Hz.

] D/G would not reapond to the governor motor switch or volta.le regul

. switch in ant-

] [or manual.

T/S 3.8.1.1 requires two separate indeoendent diesel generator sets to be g l operable.

The 2C D/G was declared inoperable at 2340 on 8/27/78. and was restored to

] lan operable status at 0455 on 8/28/78. T/S 3.8.1.1 action statement requirements wer met.

The Health / Safety of the general public were not affected.
