UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO - U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION SECURITY INSPECTION REPORT NO. 05000252/2023202
Dear Mr. Willis:
From October 23-27, 2023, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff conducted a security inspection at the University of New Mexico AGN-201M Reactor facility. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection, which were discussed on October 27, 2023, with you and members of your staff.
The inspection examined activities conducted under your license as they relate to security, compliance with the Commission rules and regulations, and with the conditions of your license.
The inspector reviewed selected procedures and records, observed various activities, and interviewed personnel. Based on the results of this inspection, no significant security concerns or findings of non-compliance were identified. No response to this letter is required.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the NRC's document system (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)).
ADAMS is accessible from the NRC website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room). However, because of the security-related information contained in the enclosure, and in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(d), a copy of the enclosure will not be available for public inspection.
