Washington,DC 20555-0001 RE:Request for Hearing on Indian Point License Transfer, NRC-2020-0021

Dear Members of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission,

Im writing as a NYC resident living within 25 mile radius of the radioactive hazardous waste piled up at Indian Point. Im active with the Green Committee for sustainability at Morningside Gardens, also with United for Action and with SDIPN-NYC.

You must hold an adjudicatory hearing on the proposed license sale by Entergy of the Indian Point facility to the Holtec Corporation!

Holtec has a history of fraudulent action; was banned from business with the World Bank for ten years; has walked away from other decommissioning jobs it had promised to perform; it is underfunded; and has a serious and unsafe conflict of interest in its using its own thin, leaky, cracked storage containers for dry-cask storage of radioactive nuclear fuel waste rods. Its Report(PSDAR) ignores the existence of the Algonquin pipeline running under the reactor site 400 ft. from the fuel rod storage and also ignoresthe leaked radiation under the reactors and into the water supply.

This creates evenmore hazardous risk for allowing Holtec to perform the decommissioning.

The public must be invited to comment and there must be a judicious hearing about putting the highly dangerous process into the hands of a known violator of essential safety procedures. The consequences are perilous to millions of people, including my neighbors in NYC!

Its absolutely necessary that the USNRC hold a hearing with the Indian Point Community to determine the best and safest process for closing down and decommissioning Indian Point.

Please RSVP that youve received these comments and will give them your consideration.

Thank you, SheilaGeist 100 La Salle St. NYC10027
