Here are some of my reasons for thinking that Holtec is a disastrous choice for this important job:

1. The company has never decommissioned a nuclear plant
2. It has proven itself to be completely untrustworthy. Holtec was suspended from work with the Tennessee Valley Authority because of bribery. If that wasn't bad enough, they were later caught for lying about the suspension when applying for the largest tax credit in NJ's history! I don't trust them to do a good job on IP.
3. Numerous whistle-blowers have indicated safety problems on Holtec projects. The company has been accused of taking dangerous short-cuts and also has a poor record of employee protections.

We should not allow such an incompetent, inexperienced, and untrustworthy company as Holtec to undertake the decommissioning of a plant that is only 50 miles from NYC and located on a river that is crucial to our area. Additionally and insanely, there is a pipeline running very near to Indian Point. Whatever entity takes on the decommissioning and employment of this property must be extremely knowledgeable, experienced, meticulous, and 100% trustworthy. I urge you to deny this transfer of license to Holtec.
