C. 20555 License DPR-35 Docket 50-293 Addendum to Technical Specification Change - Fuel Storage Pool

Dear Sir:

On April 12, 1985, Boston Edison submitted a proposed Technical Specification change to Appendix A of Operating License DPR-35. Inis submittal (BECo 85-077) was initiated to raise the K-effective of the fuel pool to the industry standard, and added a K-infinity to the fuel pool LCO.

This submittal was noticed by the Commission on May 21, 1985, by publication in the Federal Register (50FR20969-71) entitled, " Monthly Notice; Applications and Amendments to Operating Licenses Involving No Significant Hazards Considerations."

In order to further clarify our previous submittal, we are attaching a summary statement of the bases for the specification.

Very truly yours, ERM/ns Attachment l
