monitor, 1RE0017, would not respond to the check source. The monitor was taken OOS and shiftly manual grab samples were taken in accordance
. with Tech. Spec. 3.14.1.C. The failure of the Westinghouse monitor was due to a detector that was damaged from water in the detector well, and a defective rate board. The detector, Harshaw Chemical Co. part no.
6S4/2, and rate board, Bertan Associates part no. PCB100 were replaced.
The monitor was recalibrated, functionally tested and restored to service.
170 further corrective action 10 necessary.
