FORT CALHOUN STATION, UNIT NO. 1 - EXEMPTION FROM 10 CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATION PART 20, APPENDIX G, SECTION III.E (EPID NO. L-2020-LLE-0015)
Dear Ms. Fisher:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has granted the Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) the enclosed exemption from the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 20, Appendix G,Section III.E, for investigating, tracing and reporting shipments of low-level radioactive wastes where receipt is not acknowledged by the recipient within 20 days after transfer to the shipper. The exemption extends the receipt acknowledgment period from 20 days to 45 days before OPPD will have to investigate, trace and report on the status of a low-level radioactive waste shipment being transported from Fort Calhoun Station, Unit No. 1 to a licensed low-level radioactive waste processing or land disposal facility.
