Additional time to respond to NRC Request for Supplemental Information Date: Wednesday, June 03, 2020 10:48:00 AM

Scott, The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff received the Global Nuclear Fuels -

America (GNF-A) draft response to the NRCs second round of request for supplemental information (RSI) regarding the amendment request to process fuel with enrichment up to 8 percent U-235. The draft response was recevied on June 1, 2020. The call to discuss these draft RSIs was postponed at the NRC staffs request from June 2, 2020 to June 9, 2020. The NRC staff understands that additional time is needed, beyond the standard 30 day response period, specified in the NRC letter issued May 6, 2020 (ADAMS Accession No. ML20092G719).

Therefore, GNF-A is granted an addition 20 days, beyond the original 30 days, (i.e., 50 days from May 6, 2020) to provide the 2nd round RSI responses. We hope this provides sufficient time to discuss the draft RSIs and incorporate feedback. Please contact me if additional time is needed.

Sincerely, Matt Bartlett NMSS/FCSE/FFLB Fuel Cycle Project Manager 301-415-7154
