1 Office of Administration I

SUBJECT:

STEN 0 GRAPHIC REPORTING SERVICES i On March 15, 1983 NRC awarded a contract for providing stenographic reporting services to Tayloe Associates. The contract provides for a l

As noted on the attached memorandum from the Secretary to the EDO, the Commission has requested the ED0 to make a determination if it would be in the best interest of the government to exercise this option. The Source Evaluation Panel for the initial procurement viewed contingency and profit factors as remaining high even after extensive negotiations with Tayloe Associates. goff ,

' ye I request that your Division draft the proposed response from the EDO EN '

i

] to the Secretary. Although a final response would not be due until Augu st,15, 1983, I would like to see an outline for the project within l

  • Development of a milestone chart which identifies both critical tasks / decision points and timeframes; ,
  • Identification of data requirements and sources to prepare final statistics / exhibits. As appropriate, formatted ,

examples of proposed statistics / exhibits should be included;

  • Identification of resource requirements / impacts on both ADM and other offices which would need to participate; and
  • Nomination of a senior member of your staff to serve as .

Project Coordinator.  !
