hibiccl JUL 011985 MEMORANDUM FOR: William E. Cline, Chief Emergency Preparedness Section FROM: Martha Poston-Brown, Radiation Specialist Emergency Preparedness Section SbbJEC': EMERGENCY PLAN REVIEW, REVISION 17 - MCGUIRE NUCLEAR STATION DOCKET NOS. 50-369 AND 50-370 I. BACKGROUND The licensee submitted a complete copy of the REP which incorporated Revision 17, dated May 20, 1985.

Most of the revisions were concerned with general changes. For. example, the Radiological Support Office of the CMC was changed to the Nuclear Technical Services Office and the Tech. Support Office became the Nuclear Engineering Office. These and other such changes were made throughout the REP.

Revisions like the above were determined to neither increase nor decrease the plan effectivenss.

II. SUBSTANTIVE CHANGES None III.

SUMMARY

AND CONCLUSION Based on the review of Revision 17 of the McGuire Nuclear Station REP, the revisions and changes to the REP, appear to meet the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(q) in that the changes did not decrease the effectiveness of the plan, and the standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b) continue to be met. NRC's response to the license should reflect that these requirements are met.
