1. SUMM ARY This report details the pertinent activities related to the Texas AG,A University . AGN-201M training facility operated by the Department of Nuclear Engineering during the periori of 1 June 1991 until 31 May 1992.

The contents of this report are intended to comply with requirements of-10CFR50 section 50.59(b), and Appendix A of the Technical Specifications for this facility under . license R-23.

The main functior, of this facility is to provide 71 operating nuclear s'ystem to be used as a research tool, to support the requirements of Nuclear Engineering courses and for operator training as well as

- preventive maintenance. The following Nuclear Engineering courses were supported during this reporting penod:

NUEN 405: . Nuclear Engineering Experiments NUEN 679: Practical Applications of Radiological Safety 1 i

All of the components that were replaced as part -of preventive and corrective . maintenance are detailed in Section 4 of this report. All of- the

~

- components replaced during this reporting period do not involve any unreviewed safety ' questions and are not expected' to adversely affect the safe operation of this facility. During this reporting period both Channel 1 7 -

and 2 failed, 'ho failuta c' these components and the subcequent time to repair each drawer resulted in the fact that none of the major preventive maintenance was performed during this reporting period. All requirements 1
