SUMMARY

1 This report details the pertinent activities related to the Texas A&M University AGN 201M training facility operated by the Department of Nuclear Engineering during the 1 period of 1 June 1989 until 31 May 1990. The contents of this report are intended to

- comply with requirements of 10CFR50 section 50.59(b), and Appendix A of the Technical 7 Specifications for this facility under license F.23.

The main function of this facility.is to provide an operating nuclear system to be ,

used as a research tool, to support the requirements of Nuclear Engineering courses and for operator training. The following Nuclear Engineering courses were supported during this reporting period: h i

NUEN 402: Radiation Counting Laboratory NUEN 405: Nuclear Engineering Reactor Experiments All of the components that were replaced as part of preventive and corrective.  !

maintenance are detailed in Section 4 of this report. All of the components that have been replaced during this reporting period do not involve any unreviewed safety questions and are not expected to adversely affect the safe operation of this facility. The latest results of all.

major parameter surveillance tests performed during this reporting period are shown in Table 1. 1 4
