Gentlemen:

AP&L's letter dated October 31, 1980, provided proposed Technical Specifications concerning Decay Heat Removal Capability. These were s provided in accordance with your letter of June 11, 1980.

At the request of Mr. Guy Vissing of your staff, AP&L has made revisiens to our October 31, 1980 proposal. These revisions are indicated by a vertical line on the right margin of the attached pages. These revisions will clarify the actions which will be taken when the required reactor coolant loops are not in operation and the actions which will be taken when the required decay heat removal loop is not operable. A surveil-lance specification is also being added which will provide a frequency for determination that the required decay heat removal loop is in opera tion.
