Internet:OPA@NRC.GOV NRC TO HOLD WORKSHOP SEPTEMBER 29 IN MARYLAND ON ACCEPTABLE RADIATION LEVELS AFTER SHUTDOWN The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will hold a workshop September 29 in Rockville, Maryland, to discuss a proposed regulation on acceptable radiation levels when a nuclear facility permanently shuts down and is released for other uses.

The workshop will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the NRC Auditorium, Two White Flint North, 11545 Rockville Pike. It will provide information and training on methods for implementing the rule and demonstrating that a particular site does not exceed the acceptable radiation levels for license termination.
