Ladies and Gentlemen:

In letter (NL-09-1676) dated October 21,2009 Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) submitted a proposed revision to the Technical Specifications (TS), Appendix A to Facility Operating License Number NPF-2 for the Joseph M.

Farley Nuclear Plant Unit 1. The proposed revision was for limited time changes for Unit 1, to prevent an unnecessary Unit shutdown for the repair or replacement of SWS seismic support ring assemblies. Subsequent inspection of the SWS seismic support ring assemblies indicated satisfactory condition and no need for repair or replacement. Therefore, SNC hereby withdraws the subject TS revision package.
