INTE RVENORS ' MOTION TO SUPPLEMENT THE RECORD Intervenors request that the record be supplemented to include the current " Tulsa Metropolitan Area, Tulsa Urban Study, Draft, Summary Report, Stage II Study," prepared by the Tulsa District U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.

An excerpt from this study is included for the purpose of demonstrating its relevancy. (A portion of the study deals with local flooding and would, of course, not be relevant.)

This study reveals serious water shortages and that a major reason for these shortages is electrical power generation.

It should be noted that the study assumes no reductions in supply by yhtne of the Kansas-Oklahcma Interstate Compact.

Intervenors request that the record be supplemented with the study.

(4) _ Potential Shortares (a) Regional. Water supplies available to the study area l will range from the current 299 mgd to between 324 and 382 mgd or more, depending upon the solution found for the water management problems .

described above. Other potential sources could be developed to provide additional supplies. Total demands could exceed supplies presently in use as early as 1995. Using the population projections in table 1, a need for an additional 38 mgd could develop by the year 2000. By year 2030, a

shortage of up to 171 mgd could occur (table 4).

(b) Local. Eight communities and 15 rural water districts do not have adequate sources to meet their needs to the year 2000.

Although total supplies will probably be adequate until approximately 1995, .

individual shortages due to inadequate sources or inadequate treatment and distribution systems will occur by 1980.
