No: I-15-020 April 22, 2015 CONTACT: Diane Screnci, 610-337-5330 Neil Sheehan, 610-337-5331 NRC to Conduct Open House April 28 in Oswego, N.Y., to Discuss 2014 Performance of Nine Mile Point Nuclear Power Plant The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will hold a public open house on Tuesday, April 28, in nuclear power plant. The two-unit plant is located in Scriba, N.Y., and operated by Exelon. NRC staff will be on hand from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on the campus of the State University of New York Oswego. The location will be in the auditorium (Room 132) of the Marano Campus Center, at 7060 New York 104. assessmenNRC staff in attendance will be the Resident Inspectors assigned to the plant on a full-time basis. t performance through the use of color-coded inspection findings and performance indicators, which are statistical measurements of plant performance that can trigger additional oversight if exceeded. The NRC issues reports on performance at each plant twice a year: during the mid-cycle, or mid-point, of the year, and at the conclusion of the year. Inspection findings and performance indicators are also updated quarterly on website. Following the release of the Annual Assessment letters each March, the NRC meets with the public in the vicinity of each plant to discuss the results.
