Jim, Attached you will find the NRC staff's revised draft Request for Additional Information (RAI)regarding the SHINE Medical Technologies, Inc.'s (SHINE) Preliminary Safety AnalysisReport (PSAR) submitted in two parts, on March 26, 2013 and May 31, 2013. This reviseddraft RAI has been provided to SHINE to ensure that the questions are understandable and that the regulatory basis for the questions is clear. Should SHINE have any questions or require clarification regarding this revised draft request, please contact me as soon aspossible to arrange a time to discuss.

The draft RAI was originally provided to SHINE via e-mail correspondence on July 10,2014. In this correspondence, NRC staff requested that SHINE review the draft RAI toensure that NRC staff has not inadvertently included proprietary information.

Following itsreview, SHINE identified sensitive non-public information within the draft RAI. NRC staffhas removed all non-public information from the draft RAI and prepared this revised draftRAI for public release.

Aside from the removal of sensitive non-public information, thecontent of this revised draft RAI remains unchanged from the originally issuedcorrespondence.
