REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FORT CALHOUN STATION, UNIT NO. 1 LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST (LAR) 11-03 "INCORPORATE NEW RADIAL PEAKING FACTOR DEFINITION AND CLARIFY LIMITING CONDITIONS FOR OPERATION (LCO) 2.10.2(6)" (TAC NO. ME7796) By letter dated December 23, 2011 (ADAMS Accession No. ML120030225), Omaha Public Power District submitted Fort Calhoun Station, Unit No. 1, License Amendment Request 11-03, "Incorporate New Radial Peaking Factor Definition and Clarify Limiting Conditions for Operation (LCO) 2.10.2(6)." OPPD has proposed revisions to remove requirements for, and references to, the unrodded radial peaking factor in the Ft. Calhoun Unit 1 Technical Specifications (TSs). This parameter has not been used since OPPD converted to Siemens Power Corporation (now AREVA NP) analysis methods in April 2001. OPPD is also proposing to make editorial changes to clarify LCO 2.10.2(6) regarding the shutdown control element assembly insertion limit during power operations.
