This letter refers to our meeting, conducted virtually via the Microsoft Teams platform on April 29, 2021, during which we discussed the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) evaluation of your performance in the four major areas of Safety Operations, Radiological Controls, Facility Support, and Other Areas. The meeting was beneficial and provided the NRC the opportunity to discuss your facilitys performance during the assessment period, calendar years 2019 and 2020. The meeting also afforded you the opportunity to provide feedback to the NRC regarding your perception of the NRC performance review. The NRC staff determined that Global Nuclear Fuel - Americas (GNF-A) conducted activities safely, securely, and in a manner that protects public health and the environment. Based on our review of activities, no areas needing improvement were identified within the four major areas. | |||
In addition, the meeting afforded the members of the public the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to the NRC regarding our inspection program for the Global Nuclear Fuel-Americas facility. The list of meeting attendees is enclosed.
