On April 1, 1975 at 1726 an operator started the release of the south filtered waste monitor tank which was full of laundry waste as authorized by batch card Analysis 75-018-L.

As he was filling out the batch card, he noticed a 6% difference between the actual tank level and the level indicated on the batch release. He stopped the batch release after approximately 10% had been released.
