STN 50-528, 50-529, and 50-530 Withdrawal of Relief Request 50 - Request for Alternative to American Society of Mechanical Engineers Section XI Requirements for Pressure-Retaining Boundary During System Leakage Tests  By letter number 102-07621 [Agency Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession number ML18016A172], dated January 12, 2018, Arizona Public Service Company (APS) submitted Relief Request No. 50. Relief Request 50 proposed an alternative to American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel (B&PV) Code, Section XI, paragraph IWB-5222 - Class 1 pressure-retaining components during the system leakage tests associated with the third 10-year Inservice Inspection (ISI) Program interval based upon Code Case provisions. Subsequent to the submission of the Relief Request, rulemaking to adopt Regulatory Guide 1.147, Revision 18 into 10 CFR 50.55a, was completed and the rulemaking is now effective. This rulemaking obviates the need for Relief Request 50. As a result, APS withdraws Relief Request No. 50. No new commitments are being made in this submittal.
