Dear Ms. Chancellor:
I This is to confirm our telephone conversation of earlier today, concerning the NRC Staff's response to the " State of Utah's First Set of Discovery Requests Directed to the NRC Staff," dated .
June 10,1999. Subject to the availability of Staff personnel who are needed to respond to the State's requests, we agreed that the Staff would respond to the discovery requests as follows:
General Discovery July 10,1999 Utah Contention B June 24,1999 Utah Contention C - (see ASLB Order of June 17, 1999)
Utah Contention H June 25,1999 Utah Contention R July 1,1999 Utah Contention Security A-C June 28,1999 As I indicated in our conversation, the Staff will attempt to file its responses to the State's contention-specific discovery requests prior to the above-stated dates, ifit is able to do so. In the event that Staff personnel are unable to prepare responses to the State's contention-specific requests by the stated times, due to vacation schedules or other absences from the office, I will contact you to discuss alternative dates for the filing of the Staff's responses.
