(Carroll County Site) ) 4 APPLICANT'S ANSWER TO FEDERAL REGISTER NOTICE Pursuant to 10 CFR S2.705, Applicant, Commonwealth Edison Company submits the following answer to the notice published in the Federal Register on May 4, 1979 which announced that a hearing will be held in respect of Applicant's request for early site review. 44 Ped. Reg. 26229.

Applicant does not oppose the proposed action and it will appear and present evidence at the hearing in support of its application.

Applicant seeks inter alia, certain environmental and safety findings in respect of seismology, heat di sipation systems, and alternatives to the procosed site. See Applicant's Proposed Findings, paragraphs 67, 121-125, and 137. Applicant assumes that the foregoing matters are included within the list of issues specified at 44 Fed. Reg. 26229.
