The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is nearing the completion of our review of the license renewal application (LRA) for the U.S. Geological Survey TRIGA Research Reactor (GSTR) located on the property of the U.S. Denver Federal Center in Lakewood, Colorado. The NRC review of the GSTR LRA includes the issuance of an Environmental Assessment (EA), which involves a radiological review of the proposed continued operation of the GSTR facility for an additional 20 years from issuance of the renewed license (which is anticipated later this year). | |||
