Based on the review of the application, the NRC staff has determined that the USGS has submitted sufficient information such that the application is acceptable for docketing in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 50.33 and 10 CFR 50.34.

However, this determination does not preclude requests for additional information as NRCs review proceeds. The Notice of Acceptability for Docketing has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

If you have any questions regarding this review, please contact me at 301-415-0893, or via electronic mail at Geoffrey.Wertz@nrc.gov.

Sincerely,

/RA/
