INTEGRATED PLANT SAFETY ASSESSMENT REPORT (IPSAR) SECTION 4.38, LOSS-0F-COOLANT ACCIDENTS (TAC 49413)

Re: Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station By letter dated May 22, 1986, the staff issued a Safety Evaluation (SE) on the above subject. We have discovered an error on page 3 of the SE. The staff incorrectly described the licensee's preventive maintenance on the Main Steam Isolation Valves (MSIV). This maintenance is to repack the four MSIV each refueling outage. This is in agreement with the recommendation of General Electric. This change to the SE does not affect the staff's conclusion that the licensee has developed, implemented and is keeping up to date a maintenance program adequate to maintain the MSIV in an acceptable condition.

Please replace the previously issued SE page 3 with the enclosed corrected page 3.

The revised sentences are identified by the vertical lines on the right hand side of the page.
