2021 Rationale for Part V 2021 RATIONALE PART V PHYSICAL PROTECTION OF CATEGORY 1 AND CATEGORY 2 QUANTITIES OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL Background and History.

Part V of the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors (CRCPD), Suggested State Regulations (SSR) was developed to incorporate the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRC) 10 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 37.

Part V was initially published in 2014. Since then there have been a number of amendments made to 10 CFR 37. This revision to Part V incorporates the changes to 10 CFR 37 and is intended to make Part V compatible with 10 CFR 37.
