Dear Administrative Judges:

During oral argument on March 10-12, 2008, the Chairman of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board ("Licensing Board") requested counsel for Riverkeeper, Inc. ("Riverkeeper"), to respond, by letter, to the Licensing Board's offer of an opportunity to submit additional written filings regarding (a) the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ("NRC") Staff s change of position, during the oral argument, regarding the admissibility of Contention EC- 1; and (b) several questions posed by the Chairman regarding Subpart 2 of Contention EC-2. The Licensing Board requested that Riverkeeper counsel respond by Monday, March 17, 2008.

The purpose of this letter is to notify you that Riverkeeper intends to avail itself of the opportunity offered by the Licensing Board and will submit brief additional filings addressing 14 13 5 ecfý- Co
